Residential Support Worker/Social Care Practitioner Location: Cedar Lodge, West Midlands Learning Campus, Bromyard, Herefordshire, HR7 4LS Salary: £16,633.50 - £18,973.50 About us: Cedar Lodge provides residential support for young adults aged 18 years and over, who have a severe learning disability, autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviours, mental health and other complex needs. We encourage and support our residents in forming relationships outside the home by attending a range of valuable activities to include discos and clubs. Learning opportunities are gained by attending Acton Mill Farm where working with animals nurture caring and responsibility. All offsite activities are tailored to a persons interests, we currently offer trips to the cinema, swimming, horse-riding, personal and home shopping trips, football matches, concerts, theatre trips and many more. The Role: We are currently recruiting for Social Care Practitioners to work in Bromyard, Herefordshire. The role involves supporting our residents to lead a fulfilling life. This can mean helping them to cook healthy meals or to keep the home clean and tidy. As part of the role, you will also support them with personal care as well as a variety of activities such as - day trips to the beach, horse riding or even swimming, it all depends on the person you are supporting and what they enjoy doing! The successful applicant will be calm, caring, proactive and fun!
