We are looking for an experienced support worker to join our opportunity team, supporting adults within the community of Hereford and supporting them in a variety of activities. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of autism with the confidence to work 1:1 with a young lady to support her with local activities and opportunities. About The Role • Help the people you’re supporting become more involved in their communities • Support people socially and to enjoy hobbies and activities, like Bowls, Skittles, Dance/Drama, Yoga, Martial Arts, 10 pin bowling, pool, swimming and a wider range of other leisure activities • Promote social inclusion within the day centre setting and out in the community Shifts Patterns We are looking to recruit a part time team member to work 32.5 hours, across Monday to Friday 9:00am – 3:30pm. What skills and experience do I need? Essential • Professional experience supporting an individual with autism, this role will involve providing 1:1 support to an individual with autism • Candidates that are active, adventurous, friendly, encouraging, supportive, respectful, and resourceful • People that share our values • Good level of spoken & written communication • Previous experience lone working Desirable •Full UK driving licence preferred (with parking available on site), if you are a non-driver you must be willing and able to travel between the two locations If we have described you above and you would like an informal chat about the job role please contact Claire Jackson, Support Manager by email, providing details of your contact number.
